Thank you so much for our beautiful and efficiently designed kitchen. We appreciate all the extras recommendations and follow up you did! (eg: removing the wall). Everyone that has seen our kitchen absolutely loves it and cannot believe the difference. We have recommended you highly. We would also like to thank your staff. They were impeccable.
Our kitchen was sadly in need of an update. The cupboards were dated and inefficient. We knew generally what we wanted, that is, more counter space, more storage, and a kitchen that would give us that “wow” factor, but we could not see how to do that. Kitchens by Design came in with some fresh ideas and different ways of looking at our kitchen.
David Walkinshaw gave us a great design at a reasonable price. He was very helpful with the selection of the cupboards, tiles, etc. and he helped direct our choices in the colour coordination without being pushy.
We were given a work schedule for the job and it was totally completed on time. The various contractors who came in were all very professional and the work that was done was top quality and on time.
We told David that we wanted our friends to say “wow” when they saw our new kitchen, and that is what we got.
We are very happy with our new kitchen and would highly recommend David Walkinshaw and Kitchens by Design.

Approximately four months has passed since you and your competent staff renovated our kitchen. I know that I have thanked you in the past; however, most of my appreciation was directed towards the appearance of the kitchen.
I now want to take this opportunity to tell you how much Chris and I appreciate the efficient layout of the kitchen. Chris and I can prepare a meal together and never seem to get in each other’s way. I have utilized the cupboard space to create a breakfast center close to the bar stools and a coffee center close to the faucet.
When friends come over for dinner, they love to sit at the counter and chat as last minute preparations are under way for dinner. Last Sunday, I had a friend come and visit. We set up a Scrabble game on the counter and we were able to play at the same time as I prepared dinner.
Chris cannot get over how quickly he can clean up even after a large dinner party. As for the Silestone counter, it never shows dirt! Indeed, I have to run my hand over the counter to locate crumbs, spills, etc. It is amazing material.
So once more, Dave, please accept my appreciation for a job well done. We are so very happy in our home.
Our kitchen was completely renovated by Kitchen’s by Design in Sept. 2008. Prior to the work beginning David was very patient and professional through the process of designing the general layout and selecting cabinetry, counters, sinks etc. The contractors that David works with were all very pleasant, professional, prompt in arriving and thorough in their work. Even a couple of small modifications requested while they were on site were quickly accommodated. David was frequently by during construction to ensure that everything was meeting our expectations. The kitchen was completed on time and to our complete satisfaction.
We were so pleased with the finished product that we contracted Kitchens by Design to completely renovate our master bathroom as well in the spring of ’09 and had an equally positive experience.
We have and do highly recommend Kitchen’s by Design to anyone considering a kitchen renovation!

When we bought our house in 1994 there was no dishwasher and very little counter space in our kitchen. To accommodate a dishwasher we removed the one lower cupboard where a dishwasher could go at the time and installed a dishwasher. However this was far from ideal since the dishwasher door interfered with the oven door so one had to be careful.
In the fall of 2005, we decided we needed to update our kitchen. We went to two kitchen centers in well known chains and got sketches and quotes for the update but with not much improvement to the layout or counter space. Then an acquaintance mentioned Kitchens By Design and suggested we check you out!
We were very impressed with the experience. You thought out of the box to address our layout concerns and as a result gave us an amazing kitchen and even a dishwasher that didn’t interfere with the stove. On top of that you are one of the very few contractors that did what you said you would do and when you said you would do it. The downtime with no kitchen was minimized and the upgrade came in on a budget that was very competitive with the other quotes we got.

My kitchen is now almost 4 years old and it still looks brand new! Kitchens by Design renovated the whole room from floor to ceiling and did the work as promised on scheduled dates and timelines. The workmanship was professional and job site was left neat and tidy at the end of each day. A job well done!
